02 December 2014 Can any one help to confirm whether submission of Bills are required for claiming benefit of Medical Allowance from Taxable Salary?

02 December 2014 any supporting which can prove that you have incurred medical expenses can be preoduced to claim the benefit of medical allowance from Salary. The reules framed thereunder by the employer plays a major role

02 December 2014 Can I interpret that it is not mandatory to submit the bill to employer.

02 December 2014 You interprete it as IF YOU WANT YOUR EMPLOYER TO CONSIDER THE SAME, SUBMIT IT TO EMPLOYER.
ELSE
Let employer deduct tax on it and then you submit it while submitting return.

02 December 2014 you need to sumbmit to your employer as they will consider while cal tds and issuing u form16.
