to be frank sir,i've been focussing more on other subjects,not tax.is one month enough if i totally focus on tax.

according to me 5 to 7 hours per day is enough.

Its depends how much you understand the concept not the time of studying, if one study for 10hrs and could not understand the concept then no use of 10hrs right, study to understand the concept not the time, if u study for 1hr and understand then its great..work hard still u understand the concept..its not average or rank students all or talented but some mind bit slow some fast..best of luck

Try to score at least 60 in two subjects. This will help you to pass. Most of the students fail due to aggregate. Choose those subjects where you wish to make your career.
As per you suggestion; focus on Direct Tax also because this subject will come again in CA Final also. If your base remain poor in DT ; then you would not be able to qualify CA.
Many students fail four times in Direct Tax alone in CA Final.
And don't forget; one subject is enough to fail in CA.
