hello everyone, my friend is casting director, he provides service to different production houses.. he is presently not liable to service tax but is already registered due to bank requirements, Now I wanted to know how he should prepare his service invoice, and also the payment to actors is routed through his account only... kindly suggest the format of invoice...and weather he should surrender his regist. certificate

well if he is not liable for service tax, he may surrender the registration. with regards to format of invoice as long as there is no service tax liability issue normal invoice. where tax liability arise, just add service tax to the fee amount and provide service tax registration number on the invoice.

if his gross rev form providing service is not more then 10 laksh then no service tax is applicable.
