17 July 2015 Hi,

I have not received defective return neither email nor by post. I tried enquiring in income tax department, however, their phone no. was not reachable/not in service.

Request you to assist how can I obtain the intimation so that I can correct the defective return as soon as possible.

17 July 2015 u cannot ask them to send you intimation for correcting the defect.

if itr was not filed belatedly and filed in time then file revise return.

17 July 2015 the return was for A.Y.13-14 and filed on 28/3/15. the status on IT site is Defective.It says that a mail was sent on 26/6/15.however, no mail was received.
In such case what can i do to correct the return?

17 July 2015 then you can meet your concerned juridictional ao and talk to him regarding the status and resolve the matter
