How we should interpret the word CONTRACT for the purpose of sec 194 c of Income tax Act 1961

One of the judgement, but unfortunately i don't remember, states that, if mannaul work applies, it will comes under 194c. If work relates to the skill, professional knlowledge etc, it comes under 194j.
