I finished my CA in 2008 and have post qualification experince of three years in service industry. And presently Iam at home to take care of my children. I would like to do course on IFRS in coming year.
Will it help me later on when I decide to take up job maybe after 2 years or so.

20 January 2015 firstly u need to update urself in the area in which you are more intrested say accounts so you need to get equiped with all the details and updates from companies act 2013, then ifrs then various guidnace note issued by icai on accounting matters etc unless you dont start you will struggle to get back.
