Interest on late payment of interest

We have recived a notice from I.T dept u/s 201(1) & 201(1A) for late payment of TDs interest charged.They have also charged interest on late payment of Intrest. pls guide.

Section 201(1) & 1(A) applied interest on delayed payment of TDS. so interest on interest not apply.
