17 October 2014 We are the dealers of Renault Car & also have workshop. we maintain separate accounting both for showroom & workshop. Can we take a set off of input service tax in our showroom account for any services received.

17 October 2014 If you are paying any service tax on showroom account it can be set off on input service.

17 October 2014 Does it makes a difference that in our showroom account we do not render any service but we are taking input service tax or claiming refund.

17 October 2014 credit is allowed only for those inputs which are used in providing out put service.
