Input of service tax

We are Trader of Papaer. We Receive services of Transporter and we pay Service Tax of Some of Transporter. But Some Transporter pay their service tax self. So Can we claim input tax credit of service tax while paying service tax.

No, it cannot be taken.

To avail Cenvat , Assesee must be either manufacturer of Excise able Goods or Service provider and Input service on which cerdit has to be taken must be in relation to manufacturing & clearance of excisble goods or in relation taxable service provided by the assesee, in case your case none of the condition is satisfied that's why credit cannot be taken
