14 June 2014 Hi,

I am an individual and received a property from my father as a gift by proper forming gift deed and paying stamp duty.

Now i am married and want to create my own HUF in that case can i pay rent to my own HUF and avail HRA exemption as i am salaried person.

Point to keep in mind :- Property is in the name of me being individual not my HUF as that was not exist that time.

I will pay rent to my own HUF and will take HRA exemption on the basis of that?

Please resolve the query and also let me knwo if i require to transfer property to my HUF?

14 June 2014 for that u first need to transfer the ownership to huf of urs and then u can do so
