Income tax return submission

02 March 2013 In one of the case for AY 2010-11 while filing the income tax return there was a mistake in giving a self assessment details.
The CPC processed the return and given a notice there is no such a credit amount in your account and raised a demand. So what can i do now? the assessment has not been completed till now. but the return was processed by CPC.

02 March 2013 You have to check Form No 26AS to verify whether the tax credit appears there.

File a rectification request by rectifying the tax details.

we have to file a rectification when the assessment has been done.But here the assessment has not been till now.Only CPC has done the processing & CPC raised the demand.
We have to file a rectification U/S 154 after completion of assessment only.

Am i correct or wrong?
