06 March 2014 DOES INDIA HAVE A DTAA WITH BHUTAN ?? AND IS IT NECESSARY FOR A PERSON EARNING SALARY IN BHUTAN AND FILING RETUNS AND PAYING TAX IN BHUTAN TO FILE INCOME TAX RETURN IN INDIA ?? IS ANY BENEFIT AVAILABLE ??

06 March 2014 is the person is resident in India, then he is required to file tax return in India. Where he is not a resident but has any source of income arising India, then he needs to pay taxes in India.

With regards to question of DTAA, India has a Limited Agreement with SAARC Nations, which includes Bhutan.

Any DTAA benefit shall be provided therein.

06 March 2014 if the person is resident of India, then you have to compulsorily file the return of Income in India. for a resident the global income is taxable in India.

claim credit for the taxes paid in Bhutan under section 90/91.
