One of my client received a letter from IT Department. Due date of presentation of documents is 17.05.2017 but i am not in town so couldn't appear before department. so what will be the consequences. Can I Intimate to department by writing a letter and if yes then kindly provide me suitable format of this letter.

You Should submit adjournment request letter for adjourning the hearing at a later date.
