21 March 2014 Hello experts,

Now the days it becomes usual practice for landlord that they have to pay to tenant a sum of rupee to vacant his house.
If landlord pays his tenant Rs.100000 to leave the house, then under which "head of income" such income will be taxable to the tenant?

Thanks in advance.

21 March 2014 it will be capital gain as he have surrendered his tenancy rights...
