IF an individual was working out of india for last 8 yrs and he is back before one yr. and wants to file ITR in india FOR THIS ONE YEAR after a gap of 8 yrs. what care needs to be taken?

there is no issue. Just ensure that interest income from NRE FD shall now be taxable. Also, check whether the person is resident or NROR. that shall affect taxability of certain incomes such as interest on deposits outside India.
