Income from house property

17 February 2012 I have two flats. one is self occupied & second is let out . for both flats loan taken by me & EMI paid by me . second flat in the name me & my wife.
my question is -
' Is it permissible the tax rebate benifit availed by my wife? can i show that rent is my wife's income & return file ? how I can calculate tax? my email address is - supriya_242004@yahoo.co.in

17 February 2012 If the house property in joint name the income also has to be shared with the proportions. you can show the rent 50:50 share for both owners. and calculate the Income
