25 January 2010 An Indian hotel appoints a foreign architect for designing a hotel situated in indore. The arctitect submits the designs and drawings by e mail and meetings are arrenged through video conferencing. Wheter this transacion will attract service tax in India?

26 January 2010 Yes the same will be a taxable service and the co. need to deposit tax in reverse charge mechanism after 18th April 2006. the amount so paid can be claimed as CENVAT for future output liabilities of the assessee.

26 January 2010 If hotel situated in Colombo, Then this service is also taxable service?
