IEC Code & application for branches

Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to inquire about the IEC code. Our client has IEC code registered under Tamilnadu state. Our client wants to open a branch in Gujarat state. I know that IEC will be same for all the branches. But i want to know the formalities to be adopted for addition of branch in the list.
Should i approach Tamilnadu governmant officials for the same or it can be done from gujarat itself?

they must submit Anf-2a form with appropriate documents in Regional licensing authority with the telephone / water bill or rent agreement so that they can add the name in IEC.
Please noted that Documentary Proof:
A-
In case of Proprietorship firms, please furnish
i. Date of Birth of individual
ii. Number of IECs held along with their details
b. In case of Companies, please furnish
Date of incorporation
C. In case of others
Date of formation
B-
Demand Draft details evidencing payment of application fee in terms of Appendix 21B. “RS. 200” (No fee is payable for modification/amendment if such application is made in 60 days. Otherwise, a fee of Rs.200 may be paid in form of demand draft. No fee is required for inclusion of PAN no. in the old IEC.
4. Original copy of existing IEC.
