29 August 2011 BEFORE IEC CODE APPLY EXPORTER / IMPORTER MUST APPLY FOR PAN CARD .

BECAUSE IT IS FILLUP IN ANF-2A FORM.

29 August 2011 Let me re-phrase the Question. Working on a database have a lot of pan card with me but it is diffcult to classify between forwarders and exporter. Example xyz enterprise its diffcult is it a forwarder or exporter. If the pan number gives details of iec then can classify them....if it gives details its an exporter if it does not it is an forwarder like the below cha (custom house agent)

30 August 2011 You have not got my point. I Dont want to apply for exporting. i AM WORKING ON a database i have pan number with me.....i need to classify customer in the group..like exporter in exporter group and fwd in forwarder group.......I have 3000 pan numbers of exporters/forwarders can i get iec of those customers.....trust simplified

31 August 2011 it seems that u are service provider please noted that you can not take IEC code on your customer.
