Hra vs. interest on housing loan

02 August 2013 Dear Sir/Ma'm,

I have a doubt regarding the case in which HRA and Interest on Housing Loan can be claimed?

Related case is one person is staying in rented house of visakhapatnam working as an employee of A.u receiving HRA and at the same time she has another house which is her own in Vizayanagaram received rent in FY 2011-12 but in FY 2012-13 that house was not occupied by any tenant and housing loan is taken for that house.
whether that person can claim both HRA and Interest on Housing loan at the same time?
