Hra rent receipt from hiis wife & claim the same

12 March 2012 Dear Sir/ Madam
If Husband & Wife are both Joint Owner of any House. Can take husband rent receipt from his wife ? Can Husband claim HRA of the same rent receipt.
If the husband can claim the HRA of the same rent receipt then which is the clause/Section of the Income Tax Act.

Please Guide me.

12 March 2012 There is no such commercial relationship between spouse allowed under act.so rent receipt taking from spouse cannot be allowed
