26 March 2008 I have taken house on rent for my family and me in delhi and my workplace is in ludhiana. can i calim HRA exemption for rent rect. of delhi. or both please clarify

26 March 2008 For claiming HRA, u must pay the rent . As u r working in Ludhiyana, u can not show the receipt of Delhi flat. U can claim the HRA exemption for rent paid in the city where u reside.
