one person wants to claim HRA benefit as he is staying in rented premises but he has forgotten to submit the receipts to company. the company has issued the form 16 without HRA benefit.
My question is can he claim HRA while filing personal IT return as he has the original rent receipts?

Yes he can claim HRA benefits while filing his Income Tax Return since he has the rent receipts.
