I have taken housing loan for my property at greater noida which is vacant and living in delhi on rent. May I claim both the deductions i.e. HRA and interest on lousing loan. I am a salaried employee.

HRA can be claimed as it is convenient for you in employment. You need not to travel extra and you can save time also. This is possible when your place of employment is in New Delhi only and is nearer than the Property at Noida.
In such situation you can claim HRA.

If you can show that the vacant property is vacant due to non-availability of a suitable tenant or show rental income of the property , it will be convenient and logical for you to claim interest against
such income of Noida Property.
You can also show the property as Self Occupied while your place of employment is in other City.
However, both Interest and HRA can be claimed.
