I have my Form 16 where it shows a deduction of Rs. 50000 u/s 10 (but, doesn't clarify agst. what). Now, if I want to take deduction for house rent paid by me but, did not declare in the company.

What is procedure to do this.

22 July 2011 you check with employer for exemption of Rs.50000, in case not considered and if you having proper rent receipt while filing incometax return you can consider and claim the same
