How to claim refund of accumulated input tax credit - reg.

20 March 2018 Sir,

We are trading in Exempted goods and hence, no output tax to be charged by us.

Meanwhile, we have an accumulated input tax credit due to RCM on rent paid
during the period July to Sep and GST input on machinery purchase, etc, and
refund of late fee paid, which has been credited to our cash ledger.

How shall we claim refund of the accumulated Input tax credit.

Please advice.

But, when I checked in the GST portal, provision is there for claiming refund from Cash ledger only.
What about the ITC available in the Credit ledge ?
Pls. advice.

22 March 2018 After going through the provisions, it seems, no refund of ITC for the exempted supplies.

22 March 2018 Is it not possible to get refund of ITC, even if the supply is not of regular trading goods, but on purchase of machinery, purchase of accessories for company vehicles, etc.

22 March 2018 As per my opinion, based on my perception, Refund on ITC is not available. Please get a second opinion also.
