How to check a bill is real or fake

26 March 2014 Dear Sir,

I want to know how can any one or an auditor can check whether a bill submitted is real or fake.
Many times people submit the bill designed by a computer. How can some one check that the bill is fake.

26 March 2014 well as an auditor, you can check the PAN/servicetax/ vat registration no etc etc to get some comfort on the validity...also google search the name of the issuer of the bill..
