How to change the iincome tax ward / city

07 January 2013 The assessee used work and stay in Mumbai. Now he has shifted to pune permanently. He works from Pune. He is a professional. We would like to file his now onwards Income Tax Return in Pune. What is the procedure forthe same ? or just sending request for change in address will solve the problem.

07 January 2013 Make application for change of address in PAN data using the relevant form available on the website www.incometaxindia.gov.in

Once you file the form, write a letter to the jurisdictional AO in Mumbai, requesting for transfer of file to the Jurisdictional AO in Pune based on the address provided in the revised PAN details
