How to calculate the tds delay period

This query is : Resolved

25 November 2013 sir,
I had a query that, I had deducted the TDS on 30/6/2013 the due date of deposit is 8/7/2013 but I had deposited on 22/10/2013.
Know, how to calculate the period of delay on months.

25 November 2013 it should be for five months. however many believe that it should be for four months

26 November 2013 how to calculate the months can you please explain me.

26 November 2013 it should be for 4 months in my view.

27 November 2013 the logic here is a funny one. the one day 30 June shall be counted as one month. and thereafter July, August, September and October.

Now you can question this stupid logic and say that Tushar is right (which actually should be the correct way. But then logic often doesnt work with Income tax department!!
