How to apply for pan

i have to apply for PAN on an urgent basis... pls tell how much time it will take to allot and deliver PAN at my home... i need it within 7-8 days... is it possible to get pan within this time...

and pls tell if i apply online then what time it will take???

Visit the above site. then go to service tab. then search for PAN heading and there is one option under PAN head to apply online. Place cursor on this link, it will ask u for new pan or correction or reprint. place cursor on New. The click on apply. New page will be displayed. Click on apply under Application for New PAN. You will be directed to a page with all the instructions. At the bottomof the page select your status and then click on select. A registration form for apllying online will be displayed. Fill the form, submit it. then do as directed
