I have a query regarding answering a case law qn in Direct/Indirect Tax papers CA Final.
Is it mandatory to quote the name of the case, its year, itr reference etc..??

Anoop,
it is always beneficial to provide complete references to case laws to get higher marks.
however, even if you dont know the complete reference, quoting name of the case should help examiner relate to your answers.
