How to add interstate branch in gst

01 October 2025 sir.
We have GST registered principle place in busniess in Kerala . I try to add new additional place of busniess in Delhi .we have registered rental deed also. I try to add additional place in gst by enter pin code , but it not saved only Kerala pin code is accepted here. Let's me know how to add busniess place in interstate.

01 October 2025 An additional place of business can only be added within the same state as your existing GST registration. The GST portal will not allow you to add an address from another state (e.g., Delhi) as an additional place of business under your Kerala GSTIN—this is why only Kerala PIN codes are accepted for your amendment application.

01 October 2025 If you want to do business from Delhi in addition to Kerala, you must obtain a separate GST registration (GSTIN) for Delhi.

Your current GST registration for Kerala does not allow you to use interstate (Delhi) addresses as additional places of business.

Each state requires a separate registration for tax administration and compliance.

01 October 2025 Steps to Register in Another State
Log in to the GST portal and proceed to new registration.

Choose Delhi as the state for this new registration; fill in your business and address details for the Delhi location.

Upload required documents: rental/lease deed, NOC from landlord (if applicable), and identity/address proofs.

Submit the application and follow up with any documents/tax officer queries.

Once approved, you will have a new Delhi GSTIN for doing business from that location.
