Discussion is about pending income tax refund for FY 2017-18 and 2018-19 after a favourable appeal order. Refund not received due to lack of Order Giving Effect (OGE). Suggested steps include approaching AO with order copy, filing e-Nivaran grievance, and escalating via CPGRAMS if delayed.

Sir/Madam, we had certain expenses disallowed during FY 2017–18 and FY 2018–19. We subsequently filed an appeal and received a favorable order. However, the refund has not yet been received. Kindly guide us on the procedure to obtain the pending refund.

To get your refund, you must ensure the Assessing Officer passes an Order Giving Effect (OGE) to your appeal. Since it is currently pending, submit a physical letter to your Jurisdictional AO with a copy of the order, followed by an e-Nivaran grievance on the portal. If there is no movement, escalate the matter through CPGRAMS.
