How Can i file a clients return from a different place

26 March 2008 Sir how can i file a clients return from chennai when his return is to be submitted in a different place suppose in delhi or bangalore. is there any provision to file it by postal after being e-filed than can i get acknowlgement for that. what are the matters to be taken for that

26 March 2008 I advise u to locate any known CA of that city where the return is to be filed. U prepare the return and other necessary documents and send it to him. That CA will file the return on ur behalf and collect acknowledgment. As simple as that.

27 March 2008 shyamjith you can take digital signature for your client then you have no need to send acknowledgement of efiling return to related ward or circle. But here i also want to suggest you that if your client is permananetly in new city then please file a change in address in PAN through NSDL or any other service provider and get a new address of your city. then you can file return in your city.
