Is housing society duly registered are required to file audited accounts return,and where to file , whether with regitrar of society or income tax.

06 September 2011 Yes they are get their accounts audited from an auditor duly registered with Co-operative Society Registrar. Society can appoin any C.A out of the penal maintained by the Registrar of Co-operative.

The return of income is to be submitted physically as the Same has not been allowed to be filed online. It has got separate set of ITOs and Officers.
