A property is owned by a male person. he has taken a house loan for the property and the same is self occupied by him n his family. can the husband n wife both claim deduction for interest paid on housing loan. if yes than how much? for eg the interest for the year is RS.2,50,000/-

no..only the husband can claim the deduction as wife is not the owner.
