Gta pan no. mandatory to show in tds return?

08 May 2014 Hello Experts,

Please inform me whether is it mandatory to
provide PAN No. Of Goods Transport Agents in TDS Return for fy - 2013-2014? I will appreciate if you provide any notification regarding the same along with your answer.

08 May 2014 Yes Ashka it is mandatory to give PAN of GTA in TDS return. If u quote the PAN TDS will b deducted @0%(i.e, no TDS), but if u do not quote it TDS will b deducted at higher rate i.e, @20%.

09 May 2014 Yeah but if I have not deducted TDS than company ll bare 20% amount and now almost all work has been completed. Thank you for sharing link but its not getting opened.

09 May 2014 There are certain transactions on which TDS On which interest has not been paid due to financial problem. But other transactions are cleared with payment. Can i file a TDS Return showing all the completed transactions and later on File REVISED RETURN of TDS showing paid amount of TDS on interest? 4 entries will be added in this.
