22 September 2016 dear experts I would like to know that what is the need for introduction of GST in India. And also I want know that how the consumer will benefit from the GST. Please explain in a detailed manner best regards ChandrSekhar pujari

22 September 2016 simplification of taxes was the basic theme of introducing GST. It will be a good exercise to watch if the same will be achieved.
Originally, it was a UNIFIED GST.....which did not get assent from the States.... Now, therefore, there is dual taxation of GST....
CGST i.e. Central GST
SGST i.e. State GST
