GST ON BARTER DEAL

This query is : Resolved

Respected experts

we are in the business of promoting goods and service of others on our in house developed application .
normally we charge Registration charges in addition to that charge for banner and hotdeals .
Now we are entering in to barter deals with some retailer whereby we will not charge any amount from retailer for registration on freedeem platform.
The Registration will be made upon mutually agreed Exchanged/Barter coupons/vouchers.
that voucher purchased from retailers will be sold to our customer at some discounted rate .

my concern is whether any Gst payable by our company in our case ?
IF YES ON what amount Gst payable by us ?
on value of voucher purchased from retailers or on value of voucher sold to customer ?
please reply fast.

GST payable on value of voucher sold to customer.

WHETHER ANY GST PAYABLE ON THIS TRANSACTION considering it as a consideration for registration on our platform ?

Yes GST payable on this transaction.

that means gst payable two times :-
1 payable at the time of getting voucher from retailer for receiving as consideration for store registration on freedeem platform for value to be charged from other retailer as open markket value consideration
2 payable at the time of seelling that voucher to customer for price charged from customer.
please advice

Yes, claim ITC when selling to customer then GST twice payment will not arise.

but in this case both times we will pay as output tax liability how to claim itc ?

In such a case no GST payable on selling the voucher to customers as you are not providing any supply of goods or services.
