whether GST input on imported Goods/ Capital Goods can be availed , if purchased by company and firm

ITC can be claimed on the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) and GST Compensation Cess paid during the import process. However, ITC is not available on Basic Customs Duty (BCD). The imported goods must be used for business purposes. ITC is not available for goods used for personal or non-business purposes.
