I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE APPLICABILITY OF SERVICE TAX ON GOODS TRANSPORTATION AGENCY.
1)ABOUT ABATEMENT
2)ABOUT MEANING OF COLORS OF CONSIGNMENT NOTE
Please give me details about service tax on

16 July 2014 As per your query, point wise reply is as under :
1.There is a abatement portion of 75% of freight amount. Only 25% amount of freight is liable for service tax at the rate of 12.36% on the condition that the Goods Transport Agency has not availed any cenvat credit on inputs, capital goods and Input services used for providing such service (Refer S.No.7 of Notification No.26/2012-ST dated 20.06.2012)
2.Original as white color, Pink as Duplicate, Yellow as triplicate. The same may be used for consignment notes.
