Is it compulsory to complete GMCS1 within one year after article registration & if i doing my GMSC1 after 1 year what will happen???

as such no penalty has been prescribed yet for non-completion within one year. however, some students have faced issue that ICAI has not permitted registration for GMCS-I after completion of 1st year of articleship.
