Getting a cs job for an entry level cs

09 September 2014 First of all, let me apologise you all for deliberately posting in a wrong forum. I did this to reach large numbers of qualified CS professionals.

On 25th August, 2014 I completed my CS. I just want to know whether getting a job in a corporate house in Mumbai for an entry level qualified CS with just 15 months of Management Training experience difficult ?

Please guide me so that I can get a job as soon as possible. I don't wish to work with a PCS as they pay poorly and micro-manage more. Even they don't treat well.

I have not yet got my membership number as MSOP (previously known as SMTP) is yet to be completed. I have not done my LLB. Will this be an impediment ? I have planned to start it from next year.

Please talk from your own experience.

09 September 2014 Let me say it will not be a cakewalk to get a CS Job as a fresher. Most of the corporates demand experience. Competition is very stiff. It may take some time but if you have the quality then you will get the Job. After the implementation of Companies Act 2013 job market for CS has grown. Just obtain Membership at the earliest after completing MSOP and 15 days ROC/Stock Exchange Training. Also it will be beneficial for your career if you do LLB.

It will not be apt for me to comment on the Job market in Mumbai but in Kolkata i have seen growth in Job Prospects for CS. Minimum Fresher salary for CS in Kolkata is around 3 Lacs p.a.

My advice is keep updating your knowledge and grab any opportunity that comes your way. Doing additional course will be added advantage and will give you an edge.
