It is proposed to introduce GST in 2010.
My question is
1 Will it impact the import into India,if so how?
2 How will GST affect the exports which are presently exempt from all types of taxes/duties ie excise,sales tax etc.
3 Is it confirmed that GST will definitely be implemented by 2010.

1 yes , it will affect customs act becz custom act is also to be subsummed.
2 all the exempted items will remain exempted as per proposals.

People I have come across say that imports will become difficult/unviable once GST kicks in.Is it correct and if so why.
