sir whts the diff between refund n rebate of duty or tax especially they have used the word refund in case of input services or duty paid goods n rebate in case of output tax r these words r same or is der any difference.

Refund is the repayment of tax by the department which is already padi by assessee
Rebate is the reduction or relief to assessee for paying the duty
Rebate is the reduction or relief to assessee for paying the duty
