13 June 2013 when trying to upload form 32 with changes in director under category independent it is showing a message that it is not possible only public limited or listed companies. So my question is why independent not applicable to private limited company.
Please revert its urgent

13 June 2013 The concept of independent director's was introduced vide clause 49 of the listing agreement of Securities and Exchange Board of India which is only applicable to listed public companies.

21 June 2013 You wrongly mentioned it. For private limited company independent director provision is not applicable. Most of the company follow this wrong practice.
