I want to give certificate form 26A for TDS for FY. 2008-09 as per Section 201 of Income Tax Act, 1961. is it correct??

well you can give it...it is a certificate and can be issued in the current date.

On which basis?? There are any date or year specified?? give me some reference from act or book... Please reply as early as possible.

well please note the there is no deadline for the certificates or audit reports. they can be issued as and when it is required. The section only asks for a certificate, which you can prepare after verifying the facts. No time bar has been announced or notified either in the Act or under Rules or circulars.
