Whether it is compulsory for auditor of Private Limited Companies to efile Form 23B and give SRN of the same to the Company?

yes it is mandatory for auditor to file Form 23B after appoinment, no matter whether a private or public company and it is the duty of the auditor to give SRN of the same to the company as it has to be mention at the time of annual filing.

Alternatively you may also use Z99999999 in place of SRN of form-23B while filing annual filing forms.
