Form 16a not received from ex-employer

28 September 2012 Hello,

For the income earned during 2010-2011, i did not receive the form 16A from my ex-employer. (i was working as contract employee so form16A).

I have sent several remainders as well still no use. i want to know what is procedure for getting the income tax refund. Since my pay grade is less the whole TDS paid for the year has to be refunded.

Kindly let me know how to proceed and claim the refund. Thank you in advance.

03 October 2012 Register on incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

After you log in, under My Account select Form 26AS.

Select the AY, it will display the amount of TDS deducted.

If the amount of TDS is dispalyed in the Form, you DO NOT need a TDS certificate.

You can file an online return and the amount will be redunded.
