18 January 2011 Hi All,

one of our employee has left the organisation in the middle of this financial year and has no any tax liability for this year,do we need to give her Form 16 for half year and as on today's date?also is there any compulsion to give NIL Form 16?pls advice

18 January 2011 No... there is no compulsion...

Instead you can issue a salary certificate for the same period.

18 January 2011 You can..... but as I said... there is no compulsion. You can issue the salary certificate.
